How to Submit to the Skipt Blog
This collage was made with photos submitted by Amber Marlow, a fantastic New York City wedding and elopement photographer.
One of our goals here at Skipt is to be a resource, an advocate, a source of inspiration, and a supportive community - to be a place where elopement is at the forefront of the conversation about weddings, not a footnote, apology, or adaptation.
If you'd like to help contribute to creating this kind of resource, you can do so with credit (and links if appropriate) OR completely annonymously.
Things we are always looking for on the blog:
- photos (with the photographer’s permission to publish)
- location, ceremony, party ideas
- why you eloped
- how your family reacted
- what you would tell you pre-elopement self, looking back from your vantage point now
- questions you would have liked to have had answered
We accept content from individuals and couples as well as from businesses that serve eloping couples.
To submit, all you need to do is drop us an email with your content (your advice, article, photos, etc.) as well as your instructions on how you would like to be credited (if you would like your post to remain anonymous, please indicate that). Please attached your content to your email as applicable; do not send links to Google drive, dropbox folders, or online shops or galleries. All images should be 72dpi and a minimum of 800px wide.
If you are submitting as a business, please be sure to include your business name and a link to your website.
A few technical points to cover: Whatever you submit could be edited for tone, length, grammar, and clarity. By submitting a post, you’re acknowledging that the post was written by you, and that you are granting us permission to publish it. By submitting content, including pictures, you are acknowledging that you have the right to grant us licenses and rights without violating the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights, intellectual property rights, or any other rights of any person. All submissions are considered final and cannot be revoked if chosen for publication.
We look forward to sharing your content with our readers.
